What size split system do I need?
As a rough Sydney guide: 2.5 kW suits a bedroom, 3.5 kW a large bedroom or small living room, 5–7 kW open-plan living. West-facing glass and poor insulation push sizes up — we confirm with a quick assessment rather than guessing off floor area alone.
Does the quoted price include the electrical work?
Ours does — and that question is exactly the right one to ask any installer. Many splits need a new dedicated circuit. Because FRIZAIR holds an electrical licence, the circuit and any switchboard work are in our quote, done by the same crew on the same day.
Can you install a split system in an apartment?
Yes — most strata schemes allow it with approval. We provide the install details strata committees ask for (condenser location, noise level, penetrations) and run the job to satisfy them. Check your by-laws first; approval is the owner’s step, the clean install is ours.
How long does a split system install take?
A standard back-to-back install is usually 3–5 hours including the electrical. Multi-heads or long pipe runs take a day. The unit cools the room the same afternoon it goes on the wall.
