Commercial Refrigeration — Sydney
Freezer Room Installation Sydney
Walk-in freezer rooms engineered for -18°C and below — built right the first time.

Freezer rooms are less forgiving than cool rooms: thicker panels, floor insulation, door and drain heaters, and plant that has to pull deep below zero and stay there through a Sydney summer. FRIZAIR designs and installs walk-in freezer rooms that hold -18°C and below, reliably and efficiently.
We handle the complete build — insulated floor systems, heated doors and frames to stop ice-up, correctly sized refrigeration plant, defrost management and the dedicated electrical supply — under one quote, one team and one warranty.
What we cover
Freezer-grade design
Heat-load calculations, floor insulation and vapour sealing designed for sub-zero duty, not a coolroom spec with the thermostat turned down.
Heated doors & frames
Door heaters, frame heaters and pressure-relief vents that stop the door freezing shut and the frame icing up.
Plant & defrost
Low-temperature condensing units and electric or hot-gas defrost systems matched to your stock turnover.
Licensed electrical
Dedicated circuits, alarms and lighting installed in-house under our NSW electrical licence.
Monitoring & alarms
Temperature logging and high-temperature alarms so a failure never goes unnoticed overnight.
Indicative pricing
Honest guide ranges — something almost nobody in this industry publishes. Every job is quoted up-front before work starts.
Indicative ranges only — freezer rooms vary with floor works and plant size. Fixed quote after site visit.

One team, three trades
Most jobs touch more than one trade — a cool room needs a circuit, an aircon needs a switchboard. We hold the licences for all of it.
Frequently asked questions
What temperature should a freezer room run at?
Commercial freezer rooms in Australia typically run at -18°C to -22°C. We commission to your specification and fit monitoring so you can prove storage temperatures for audits and insurance.
Can you convert an existing cool room into a freezer room?
Sometimes — it depends on panel thickness, floor insulation and plant capacity. Often the floor is the deal-breaker. We will assess it honestly; a proper conversion quote beats a freezer that never reaches temperature.
Why does a freezer room need door and drain heaters?
Below zero, any moisture freezes — doors seal shut, frames ice over and condensate drains block solid. Heated doors, frames and drains are standard in our installs and one of the most common faults we repair in rooms built without them.
How long does a freezer room install take?
Allow roughly 1–2 weeks for a typical walk-in freezer once panels arrive, longer where floor insulation or slab work is involved. We stage the work around your operation and confirm the timeline in your quote.
