Emergency Electrician Sydney — 24/7

Power out, switchboard tripping, burning smell? A licensed electrician answers, any hour.

  • NSW licensed contractor
  • ARC AU41001
  • 24/7 emergency service

Some electrical problems can wait until Monday. A switchboard that keeps tripping, half the building without power, a burning smell from a powerpoint, or a wet ceiling near wiring cannot. FRIZAIR runs a 24/7 emergency electrical service across Sydney for exactly these calls — for homes and for businesses that can't trade without power.

Emergency electrical is about safe triage: isolate the danger, restore what can be safely restored, and quote the permanent repair in daylight. Our electricians arrive in stocked vehicles, work to NSW wiring rules even at 3am, and never leave a site in a dangerous state.

What we cover

Genuine 24/7 response

Nights, weekends, public holidays — a licensed electrician on the phone and then at your door.

Loss of power

Tripping safety switches, dead circuits and partial power loss — found and fixed, or safely isolated until full repair.

Burning smells & sparks

Overheating points, melted connections and DIY disasters — treated as the fire risks they are.

Storm & water damage

Water in fittings, storm-affected boards and rewiring after leaks — made safe first, repaired right after.

Business-down priority

Venues and shops that cannot trade jump the queue — and our refrigeration team is one call away if the outage hit your cold storage too.

Breakdown? We answer 24/7.

Refrigeration down, aircon dead or power out — call now and speak to a real technician, any hour, any day.

Electrical near you

Dedicated local pages for the areas where we do this work most — plus everywhere in between via our service areas.

One team, three trades

Most jobs touch more than one trade — a cool room needs a circuit, an aircon needs a switchboard. We hold the licences for all of it.

Frequently asked questions

My safety switch keeps tripping — is that an emergency?

If it re-trips immediately or you smell burning, treat it as one and call. A safety switch that trips once and holds after reset is doing its job; one that will not stay on is telling you a circuit or appliance is faulty — do not keep forcing it.

What should I do before the electrician arrives?

Unplug appliances on the affected circuit, leave the tripped switch off, and keep people away from anything that sparked, smelled hot or got wet. If something is smoking, call 000 first — fire beats electrician.

Do you charge a callout fee for emergency work?

After-hours emergency work carries a callout rate, quoted on the phone before we dispatch — you will know the cost of getting us there and a likely range for the fix before committing. No price surprises stacked on a bad night.

The power is out — how do I know if it is my problem or the network?

Check your neighbours and the outage map for your distributor (Ausgrid or Endeavour, depending on where you are in Sydney). Whole street out: it is the network. Just your place, or one circuit: that is electrician territory — call us.
