If your kitchen cooks ahead, your blast chiller is a food-safety instrument, not just an appliance — NSW food safety programs lean on rapid chilling through the danger zone. FRIZAIR installs, repairs and services blast chillers and blast freezers across Sydney for restaurants, caterers, aged-care kitchens and food manufacturers.

Blast equipment runs harder than standard refrigeration: high duty cycles, aggressive defrosts and probe-driven controls. When a cycle that used to take 90 minutes starts taking three hours, the plant is telling you something — and catching it early is far cheaper than a failed compressor.

What we cover

Repairs on all brands

Slow chill cycles, probe and controller faults, refrigerant leaks, compressor and fan failures on all major blast chiller brands.

Cycle-time testing

We verify the unit actually achieves its rated chill cycle — the number your food safety program depends on.

Probe & control calibration

Core-probe accuracy checks and controller calibration so your logged temperatures hold up in an audit.

Installation & replacement

Sizing, supply and installation of new blast chillers and freezers, including electrical works.

Preventative maintenance

Coil cleaning, refrigerant checks and electrical inspection on a schedule that suits your production load.

Breakdown? We answer 24/7.

Refrigeration down, aircon dead or power out — call now and speak to a real technician, any hour, any day.

Commercial Refrigeration near you

Dedicated local pages for the areas where we do this work most — plus everywhere in between via our service areas.

One team, three trades

Most jobs touch more than one trade — a cool room needs a circuit, an aircon needs a switchboard. We hold the licences for all of it.

Frequently asked questions

My blast chiller takes much longer to chill than it used to — why?

Slow cycles usually mean a dirty condenser, low refrigerant, a tired compressor or fan faults. Because blast equipment works so hard, performance loss shows up early — a service visit now usually prevents a dead unit later.

What is the difference between a blast chiller and a freezer room?

A blast chiller rapidly drops cooked food through the 60°C–5°C danger zone in a couple of hours; a freezer room stores already-cold product long-term. Blast equipment is about speed and food safety compliance, not storage volume.

Do you calibrate blast chiller probes for HACCP records?

Yes — we check core-probe accuracy against reference instruments and calibrate or replace probes that drift. If your HACCP plan logs chill cycles, probe accuracy is what makes those records meaningful.

Can you supply and install a new blast chiller?

Yes. We size the unit to your menu volume and kitchen space, supply it, run the electrical circuit under our own licence and commission it with a verified chill-cycle test.
